Day 31. Blog every day in may.

A vivid memory.

I'm quite sad that blog every day has come to an end, I've loved writing every day and getting really into the subjects that have been set! I've enjoyed reading other bloggers blogs aswell and found some great new blogs to follow!

I have the best memories from growing up, when I was about 6 or 7 I lived on a farm and I remember playing games in the massive fields with my sister and my cousins, I remember there were loads of chickens and we named them all!
A couple of years later I moved into a new house which had cows in the field next door, me and my sister always used to sing to them for some reason! I had lots of animals back then and I can happily say I still do now.
I remember one night, me and my parents were sat in our living room watching tv and something fell down the chimney, it turned out to be a baby bat! We had to take it to a bat sanctuary, the women that owned it greeted us, took the baby bat and opened her coat, she had loads of baby bats hanging off her jumper, I couldn't believe my eyes! A couple of days later we had to pick the little bat up and set him free outside our house because that was his natural habitat, the bat was fine and flew a way instantly.

Day 30. Blog every day in may.

React to this term: Letting Go

When I think of letting go, I think of some sort of loss, it doesn't mean to say it's a bad thing, letting go can be really good for you, it can be like lifting a massive weight off your shoulders. Letting go is quite difficult for me, I think it is for most people but I struggle abit with things changing, I tend to over think things. Even though sometimes it's scary to let go, I think it can be so good for you and make you feel relieved.

New Cake makes.

Usually on a thursday I do a fashion favourites blog but this week I've been making cake toppers alot so I thought I'd do a blog on my most recent ones instead. These are pretty simple to make but if theres any that you want to make but are unsure how to, just leave me a comment below and I will definitely do a tutorial blog on them.

The first thing I made was this cute little turtle.

Then I made some colourful buttons.

I also made Kung Fu Panda, which I think turned out pretty cool!

Two bottles of nail polish.

And some flowers.

Day 29. Blog every day in may.

Five songs or pieces of music that speak to you or bring back memories.

Mr brightside - The killers. The first song is one of my all time favourites, I've got so many of memories of it. It brings back memories from amazing nights out, school days and every time I hear it I have to act it out, it's such a fab tune.

Girl in the world - Rihanna. This used to be me and my sisters night out song, we'd have it blaring so loud before a night out and we'd be singing a long to it.

My heart will go on - Celine Dione. This song brings back alot of memories of my childhood, as well as Titanic being one of my all time favourite movies even though it makes me cry every time I watch it, it used to be my karaoke song. As a family we've always been really into karaoke nights, especially on holiday!

The man who can't be moved - The Script. I've always really liked this song and The Script are one of my favourites, I've seen them twice in concert and they were brilliant both times! Definitely worth seeing live if your a fan. And Danny is gorgeous!

S Club 7 - Reach. S Club 7 were a massive part of my childhood, they were the anthem to every birthday party me and my sister had and we and our cousins loved them immensely, I can honestly say, I still love them! I went to my cousins wedding a week ago and he's a big S club fan aswell, I requested this song and we were all up dancing to it, it brought back so many memories.

I struggled with cutting it down to five but I had to mention Snow patrol - chasing cars, it's always been one of my favourites and it reminds me alot of my teen years.

Day 28. Blog every day in may.

Only pictures.

These are my all time favourite pictures.

Cake toppers.

It's my sisters birthday next week and I decided that I'm going to make some cupcakes for it, I thought it would be quite cool to give everyone different cupcakes with they're favourite things on top. I still have loads to do but here are my first couple. I will be adding pictures of them on my blog as I go along, and I will have a blog post for the finished cakes!

For my sister I've decided to make hello kitty cupcakes as she loves hello kitty.

These two are of the zebra and giraffe from Madagascar, my sisters boyfriend loves Madagascar so I'm planning to make the hippo, lion and king Julian aswell! I just thought I'd start with the easiest first, king Julian doesn't look so easy!

Day 27. Blog every day in may.

A letter to your readers.

Dear readers,
I am so happy that you've taken the time to look at my blog let alone read it, I haven't been blogging for very long, I started because I got really into cake making but then when I heard about this blog every day in may challenge, I realised how much I actually enjoy writing, the challenges that have been set have been so lovely and it's nice to think about old memories and just to writing about things that I love is great.
I just want to say thank you to everyone who has clicked on my blog, given it a read and enjoyed it or even related to it. I really do appreciate it and it really does mean the world to me!

Day 26. Blog every day in may.

Something you read online. Leave a link and discuss, if you'd like.

I had a long hard think about what I was going to write about for today's blog, I read the news online a lot but writing about that would only make me feel angry and upset, it really pains me to say that the world is turning into a scary place.
But instead of talking about anything that I've read on the news, I've decided that I'm going to talk about something I absolutely love, pinterest! I know it's not really one thing in particular that I've read but I can happily spend hours on it reading and learning about cool new things. It's a very bad habit before I go to bed, it's such a distraction from going to sleep! I love looking at the clothes on there and pinning my favourites, I'm loving denim shorts at the moment. I've got about 15 boards on my pinterest but the boards that have the most pins in are these ones.

The beauty boards.
  • Nails. For my love of nail art and I get so many great designs to try out!
  • Hair. I love hair, I love doing new things with it, dying it, just messing around with it really, I love pinning different hair colours. I've been thinking about ombreing my hair and its a fab way to look through all the different types of ombre and decide if its really what I want to do, obviously I can always come back to the dark side if it goes wrong but its nice to have a look before hand! I also have a board for red hair, I made this board because I was thinking about dying my hair red and I wanted to see what it would look like, I chose against it in the end but I still think its such a gorgeous colour to have and I probably will dye mine that colour in the future. I think the coolest thing I've learnt from pinterest is how to do a bun with a sock! It was so much cheaper than buying a doughnut hair band and it was so easy to do and looks exactly the same as using one of those!
  • Make up. This is fab for finding new looks and also helping to find new make up to use, there are loads of tutorials and recommendations on what products are the best to use.
Lovelies.
This is probably my favourite board aswell as my clothes one, this is where I pin all the lovely celebrity men, I've come to realise there's more brown haired guys in there, I didn't think I really had a type but maybe I was wrong! There are quite alot of Ian somerhalder pins, what a beauty!

Clothes.
Having a board on pinterest for clothes is great, you can pin everything you want to buy and find the style that your into. I'm really into shorts and vans at the moment, I pin a lot of long skirts and crop tops. I'm very into demon shirts and combat boots too, aswell as leggings and colourful tights.

Cakes.
This is an obvious reason why I have this one, I love cakes, I love eating them, I love making them and I love looking at them! There are so many stunning cakes on pinterest and so many great ideas and recipes to use.

Jewellery.
I do love abit of jewellery to liven an outfit up, my favourite things are statement rings and quirky earrings, I love wrap around watches aswell.

Great ideas.
I don't have loads of pins in this board but the ones I do have a pretty cool, there are a lot of pins that are DIY and they are really good to keep in mind for the future. There's quite a few for making vest tops and jewellery. I have a lot of nail ideas on my board too.

Harry potter.
I have a big love for Harry potter, I've watched the films countless times and every time I've loved them as much as the first time I watched them. I went to the Harry potter studios in London last year and it was so cool, there was so much to look at and I'd love to go again.

Day 25. Blog every day in may.

Something someone told you about yourself that you'll never forget.

I really struggled with this one today because I'm quite a forgetful person.
But this is something my sister said to me the other day, 'You are the most laid back person I know'. I think I can sometimes come across laid back but deep down I'm just busy over thinking everything thats going on! I'm one of those people that will start something and then think I'll come back to this in a minute and then I have to force myself to finish it.

Day 24. Blog every day in may.

Your top 3 worst traits.

1. Grumpy.
I can be quite grumpy sometimes, if things don't turn out the way I hoped, it can make me quite annoyed, especially if I've taken an absolute age doing them. I can also moan about pretty much anything and a good rant is never a miss.

2. Perfectionist.
This can be a good and a bad thing, a good thing because I take a lot of care and time doing things but a bad thing because it has to be perfect which does take me a while to do, I just like things to be done properly. It doesn't bother me at all how other people have done something but if I'm doing it and I don't think its right, it can really annoy me.

3. Realist.
I wouldn't say I'm negative but I do have a habbit of looking at things realistically, especially what things can go wrong but this is probably because I tend to over think a lot (that would be my 4th worst trait).

Friday favourites.

Everyone loves friday and who doesn't love a list of fab music favourites.

My first favourite this week is People help the people by Birdy, I've always loved this song. I hadn't heard it for a while and then I heard it on the voice u.k. about two weeks ago and I haven't stopped listening to it since. It's such a beautiful song and Birdy is an amazing singer.

The next song I can't help singing along to, I put my hands up and say that I do quite enjoy abit of one direction, I'm not a hardcore fan but they're songs do brighten up my day a bit and they're great to have on when I'm getting ready for a night out! I thought this was fitting to add them into my list this week because they're coming here in a few days (I'm not actually going, I did think about it but I decided all the screaming girls would be way too much to bare).

I saw The cup song on Pitch Perfect, really great movie by the way, and now I have a really bad habbit of singing it when I'm hoovering and I only really know about a minute of the song but I love it all the same!

My youtube favourite this week is Rebecca Shearing singing a cover of thrift shop by Macklemore, it's such a hard song to sing and she makes it seem so easy!

Day 23. Blog everyday in may.

Things you've learned that school won't teach you.

I think something I've learnt quite quickly is it doesn't matter what you were like at school, it doesn't matter if you were the most popular person in the class, once you leave school, thats all gone, no one cares who you were before, your free to be whoever you want to be which is an amazing feeling.
When I was at school I was one of the quietest people you would have ever met and now I've completely changed, I can still be abit reserved sometimes but the thought of talking to someone new doesn't scare me. You can put me in a room of people and I would start a conversation about anything. I love going to parties now which is a massive difference to how I used to be, I would make up any excuse not to have to go, now I will be the first on the dance floor and the last to leave it, I just love having a good time and making the most of things because you never know what tomorrow will bring.
An other thing school doesn't teach you is to make mistakes, everyone needs to make mistakes to show that they've gone and tried something, if it didn't go great, you can see what went wrong so when you try again, you know exactly what not to do.
Also most things that you learn in maths, you probably wont use again in your life, unless your an accounant or the women that works on count down, realising this made me very happy!

Thursday favourites.

I completely forgot it was thursday today, I've been in a bit of a daze since getting back from my weekend away!
This week I wanted to do a post on my favourite nail polish and glitters, I love anything to do with nails so I do have quite a few favourites!

The first favourite this week is this black nail varnish, its nothing special by itself but for the wedding I went to, my dress was black and gold, so I painted my nails black and then sprinkled gold glitter all over them and they looked stunning!

I love this permint nail polish, I bought it quite a while ago and I can't get enough of it, it looks so lovely and summery on!

Now this is the coolest nail polish I've ever had, my sister bought it for me and I thought it was going to be an apple green but when I put it on, it was so clear and I couldn't understand why until I was laying in bed that night, I realised my nails were glowing in the dark! It's such a cool thing to have but it does distract me from sleeping at night!

These are the nails I did today, I've seen the massive hype over painting four nails one colour and then one nail glittery and I had to give it a try! I bought this gorgeous summery pink and this glitter polish by Rimmel London and I'm so pleased with how they've turned out.

 Glitters.
Theses are all the colours I have and I also bought this massive pot of blue glitter!

Day 22. Blog every day in may.

Rant about something. Get up on your soapbox and tell us how you really feel.

I'm one of those people who are brilliant at ranting, I think the thing that really annoys me is people that are rude and those who don't use they're manners. I've always been bought up to say please and thank you and hold doors open for people. I don't think it takes much to give someone a smile instead of a glare. People that use others to get what they want really ticks me off, they spend ages not talking to you but then as soon as they want something, they act like they're your best friend.

Day 21. Blog every day in may.

A list of links to your favorite posts in your archives.

Owl cake.
My favourite post is actually my first post ever on my blog, I decided to make an owl cake and I wasn't too sure how good it'd come out but to my surprise it was alot better than I thought it would be and it tasted really nice aswell! I'm so proud to say that the post has been in the PVB Mag and it looks amazing!

Recent cake makes.
My next one is also about cakes, no surprise there! One day I decided to make a chocolate covered cake and then cover it in different coloured flowers made out of fondant. I also tried out a bird cake and some smurfs!

Yes bracelet.
I was so pleased when my yes bracelet arrived that I just had to write a post about it, its been about a month now and its one of the best things I've ever bought, it looks so lovely on and it does motivate me to do more things. I rarely take it off, only for showers, and it still looks like brand new.

Day 18. Childhood story.
The last blog I want to mention is day 18 of blog every day in may, it made me laugh writing this one. The challenge for the day was to dig deep and write a childhood story. Of course I chose to write about when I decided to try and fly!

Party time!

This weekend I've tried to keep up with blog every day in may but I went away for a few days for my cousins wedding and there was absolutely no Internet which was a bit of a struggle! Despite not being able to blog, I had such a fab weekend, it was lovely to see all my family after so long of not seeing them! The wedding was absolutely beautiful and the weekend entailed lots of dancing and catching up which was so nice, 3 of my cousins have little babies and they are the most gorgeous little ones I've ever seen!

Friday favourites.

Its Friday and that only means one thing, Friday music favourites!

The first song I've been absolutely loving this week is The way I tend to be by Frank Turner, I've listened to it so many times, I  can't stop!

One Republic are an other one of my favourite bands and I was watching the final ever episode of 90210 and it came on but I couldn't remember what song it was but I knew I'd heard it before, so I automatically had to look it up! I've had it on replay for the last day or so now, its all about doing everything in life, so when its over you can say 'I lived', I experienced as much as possible. I also thought the last episode was brilliant and I was really happy about Annie and Liam!

I've been listening to Bastille's new album alot lately and this song is one of my favourites! The whole album is great though!

I always do a youtube favourite at the end of every Friday favourite post, so this is my favourite this week, you may know Conor Scott off The Voice U.K. I was so happy when he got through the battle rounds and I will definitely be backing him all the way! This is him singing High Hopes by Kodaline, such an amazing song and he really does it justice!

Day 16. Blog every day in may.

Something difficult about your "lot in life" and how you're working to overcome it.

The one thing I've always struggled with is my weight, I wrote my public apology to my body on day 13, recently I've really started to push myself to eat healthier and exercise alot more. I downloaded the my fitness pal app and it really helps, it helps me count how many calories I'm allowed to eat a day and shows how many I burn off when I exercise. I have a daily work out which is the 30 day shred by Jillian Michaels and I also go running sometimes, in the summer I do alot of swimming, I can get really competitive with myself and try and push myself as much as possible because I know if I do, I'll get the best result. I can already see a huge difference. In the last year or so I've lost quite abit of weight, I remember when I was about 16, I used to hate clothes shopping, jeans especially, I could never find any that would fit me, living in Spain didnt help because the sizes here are quite small! It would make me feel so horrible about myself but now I love the fact that I can just go and try whatever I want in a shop and I can have lovely clothes and look good in them! I do have to put a lot of work in but it really does pay off.

Thursday fashion favourites

Here are a couple of this weeks fashion favourites!

The first thing I'm loving this week is this mustash top from zara. My sister got it for me as a present and I absolutely love it! It's so quircky and cool!

I'm really happy with my new summer hat this week! I love hats and I realised I didn't really have a festivally one, so I'm pretty pleased with this one!

I got this scraf from my cousin for christmas and I spend quite abit of time in it,
it's light grey and covered in black/green crosses. It looks lovely with a pair of jeans, black vest and a cardigan.

Day 18. Blog every day in may.

Tell a story of your childhood, dig deep.

When I was younger, I had quite a big imagination, one day my cousin came round and we were playing infront of the house, we were living on a farm back then, there was a huge wall infront on the house (I say huge, it properly wasnt really but to a 5 or 6 year old it was absolutely massive!) and then the drive way which was made of gravel slopped down. I remember saying to my sister and my cousin that I could fly, they were laughing and saying no you can't, prove it!
Me and my massive imagination climbed up on the wall, started singing 'I believe I can fly' and jumped right off it. The jump itself was pretty far down but to make it worst, I rolled all the way down the drive way, grazing all my legs and arms. My mum wasn't impressed to say the least and I haven't tried to fly since!

Day 15. Blog every day in may.

A day in the life.

Its taken me quite a long time to write this one today because my internet has really been playing up!

Here is me and my cat, Phoebe, snug in bed this morning before we forced ourselves to get up!

I usually have toast for breakfast and then a nice hot shower and put some make up on for the day.

After going into town, to the post office and any other shops that I need to visit, I sit down to do some blogging! I'm going away for the weekend, so today I had to prepare some blogs in advance.

Some days, I'm taking some pictures for PVB or modeling for them, which keeps me busy.
Today I've been looking through dresses for a wedding I've got on Saturday which I'm really excited about!

I do my daily workout everyday, the 30 day shred level 2, I've got 4 days until level 3 and I'm absolutely dreading it! I tend to do alot of walking and sometimes I go for an hour and a half run, depending on how I'm feeling.

In the evening I catch up on my favourite tv shows and just chill out, all the exercise wears me out abit!
